She has won a prestigious FAMAS at the young age of 16 for her role in ‘Azucena,’ two best actress awards for the 2012 film ‘Santa Niña’ and many others. All these achievements are proof of Alex’s sterling portrayals of the complex characters on screen.

Alex’s feisty personality is also known well in the industry. Last year, Alex was tangled in a best actress controversy with fellow actress Angelica Panganiban when both vied for the top award in the 2013 Cinema One Originals. Sources said she walked out of the Dolphy Theatre after losing to Angelica.
The actress’ on-screen and real life reputation pretty much sums up who she is in the eyes of TV audiences. But not a lot know that Alex is nurturing another wonderful talent that would blow anyone away.
When not busy taping for a movie, Alex devotes much of her time sketching and painting:
Alex discovered her talent in drawing when she joined an art class last year. She admitted that she didn’t know how to draw before taking the class. But what motivated her to take the class was a need to express herself.
She reveals in her Instagram posts that her drawings were done out of boredom or frustration. She doesn’t also seem to put much fuss on her artworks. But her creative imagination and her skills shine through.
Fans of the eclectic artist are lucky because aside from waiting for her next TV or movie project, there are also her future artworks to look forward to.
