by FFE Entertainment News staff

The big screen adaption of the hit TV show ‘Be Careful With My Heart’ will no longer be part for the annual Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino said on Thursday.

Tolentino received the official withdrawal in a letter by Star Cinema, the movie production unit of ABS-CBN. The letter explained that the reason of the pull out is due to the cast’s “tight schedule” in filming the on-going series.

In a tweet by cast member Aiza Seguerra last Thursday confirms the show’s very busy schedule:

The “Be Careful With My Heart The Movie” was supposed to be a continuation of Maya (Jodi Sta. Maria) and Sir Chief’s (Richard Yap) romance, according to the TV show director Jeffrey Jeturian.

No words from Star Cinema yet whether a movie will still be produced even after the MMFF is over.

The movie’s withdrawal from MMFF is not the only bad news fans of the show received this week. In last Wednesday’s episode, viewers mourned the death of a character as Maya’s grandmother “Mamang” Conchita dies of a heart attack. Aiza also expressed her sadness of Mamang’s death on a tweet:
