Dina Bonnevie reiterates she’s Mrs. Savellano not Mrs. Sotto
There is no doubt that Dina Bonnevie has moved on with her life and is happy in the arms of his husband Ilocos Sur Vice Governor Deogracis Victor ‘DV’ Savellano. But she confessed there is one thing about her life in showbiz that continues to bother her: the public and media continuing to label her as ‘Mrs. Sotto.’
‘Puwede bang mag-move on na tayo kasi Mrs. Savellano na ako, e,’ commented Dina in an interview with Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino. This was her answer to Boy’s question: does she feel pestered whenever she is asked for her opinion about ex-husband Vic Sotto?
‘I get bothered, in a way, kasi para bang naka-move on na ako, pero hindi pa rin maka-move on yung mga tao.
‘Actually, nung presscon [ng ‘Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon’], sabi ko nga, “Bakit ako na naman ang tatanungin niyo about Vic? Puwede bang… nag-move on na ako, Mrs. Savellano na ako, please”.’
However, Dina shared that her husband Vice Governor DV helped her deal with the label ‘Mrs. Sotto’ by being matured about the issue. DV described Dina’s issue as an ‘occupational hazard’ since she was an actress whose life was partly public property.
Dina said she is happy that her husband understands the showbiz life. She added that he was also now used to getting attention for being ‘Mr. Bonnevie.’
Although the actress said that she is bothered whenever her name is dragged into issues about Vic Sotto, she is still respectful of her ex-husband since ‘I can’t remove the fact that I am the mother of his children.’ Dina and Vic have two children: Danica and Oyo Boy Sotto.
