A survey of 79 EU cities conducted by the European Commission may just change your mind about where you want to settle in Europe.
The survey polled 41,000 city dwellers in terms of their satisfaction with their city in four key issues: health service, availability of jobs, education and training and public services. The latter included public transport, safety and infrastructure.
Aalborg, Denmark topped the survey with a satisdaction rate of 99%.
In terms of overall satisfaction with the quality of life in their city, respondents from the following cities gave the highest ratings:
1. Aalborg, Denmark (99% satisfied)
2. Hamburg, Germany (98%)
3. Groningen, Netherlands; Kobenhavn, Denmark; Oslo, Norway; Zurich, Switzerland (97%)
A total of 16 cities polled scored a satisfaction rating of 96% and above while 46 cities scored 91% and above.
While settled in third place in the overall ratings, Groningen still managed to get the top spots for the most percentage of the population satisfied with health service (95%), public services (94%) and education (89%).
