How are Dutch parents balancing work and Kids?
by FFE EU News Staff
Around 50% of parents tapped by the national statistics office CBS are adopting a 1.5 breadwinner model. What is this? It means that one parent works full-time while another works part-time. The CBS added that this number is the same as 2008 figures, which says that not much has changed in Dutch parents’ perspectives in raising young children in the last 5 years.
Meanwhile, 8% of the parents said they are fine working full-time. 25% of couples who are rearing just one child, on the other hand, prefer to have one stay-at-home partner.
CBS released their statistics last Monday.
