Grace Poe poised to take no.1 spot in senatorial election race

Grace Poe

Defying all pre election surveys and to the surprise of almost everybody, including herself and Malacanang, Grace Poe Llamanzares,  seems set to clinch the top spot of the senatorial race. As of this writing the Comelec hasn’t finished the counting of the ballots but she is still leading all the candidates and seems to have a very comfortable lead over Loren Legarda.

Analysts attribute her good showing in the polls to varied factors ranging from the FPJ effect, her own down to earth and humble personality which is a welcomed respite from many traditional politicians, her broad based support – she got the Team Pinoy’s support and also from people in the Unite Nationalist Alliance (UNA) . Whatever it is that catapulted her to number one we hope that she would do good to her promise to help alleviate poverty.
