In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN’s “TV Patrol,” Cuaron was in high praises for the film “Thy Womb,” citing Mendoza for “(creating) a whole cinematic dynamic with the characters,” and for being “very brutally honest.”
“I’m so happy that Brillante Mendoza exists,” he said.
Cuaron, who is known for his films “Y Tu Mamá También” and “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” also gave advice to aspiring filmmakers. He told them to “be truthful to what they do.”
He added “I don’t think that Hollywood should be the goal for filmmakers – Hollywood could be the journey.”
Cuaron’s latest film, “Gravity,” is set for release next month.
