Heart Evangelista on personal Growth
Despite the rift she had with her parents early last year because of her controversial relationship with senator Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero, Heart Evangelista still has something to be grateful for as she said she learned a lot from the trials she faced in the past year.
‘Maraming nangyari sa akin na talagang nag-improve yung character ko, Heart said. ‘So, it’s okay. I’ve accepted all of that.’
Heart, while reflecting on the changes she had gone through, said, ‘Ang laki ng ipinag-iba. I think I like myself more now. Not that I didn’t like myself before, but I just didn’t know any better.’
The 28-year-old actress said that she has never been happy in her love life like she is now.
‘…To have somebody by your side through everything and to have the security and stability of the relationship without trying so hard. I think that’s the best thing that happened to me in 2013 and the next years to come,’ she said.
Heart and Escudero made their relationship official last July 2012.
At the height of her conflict with her parents, Heart acknowledged that not only was her personal relationship with them damaged. The falling out also affected her career.
Despite this, Heart said that she would not have been able to cherish and appreciate her work if the conflict did not happen. She added that she is thankful for her fans who stuck with her amidst the controversies.
Now, Heart is not only lucky with her love life: her career is soaring again. She joined the talk show programme ‘Startalk’ as their new host last November and top billed the prime time drama ‘Magkano Ba Ang Pag Ibig?’
Heart’s latest show ‘Weddings TV’ on GMA News TV premiered last 1 February.
