Typhoon Yolanda has affected more than two million families in the Visayas and Mindanao, prompting President Aquino to declare a National State of Calamity. The government is already compiling an official list of survivors but for those who still have no words from their loved ones, here are other ways to locate them:
- You can search your loved ones’ name through Google Person Finder for information about them.
- List of survivors in Tacloban City, Leyte as compiled by 1st district Representative of Leyte, Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.
- GMA News posted in their Facebook page the screengrabs of survivors from footages they have recorded. Names of the survivors they have interviewed are also included.
- The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has deployed assessment and rescue teams that also established tracing services to the areas affected by Yolanda. You can contact the PRC Social Services Department for news of missing loves ones.
The Official Gazette of the Philippines has also produced a list of casualties based on the annex of a report from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
