‘Parents can be lovers’ said Norwegian Equality minister Solveig Horne.
The minister referred to a custom in the US where ‘date nights’ for parents are being encouraged by organisations in a bid to lower the incidence of divorce.

‘Protection of the family has been a low priority, this is something we want to increase focus on,’ said the new minister in a speech in Stavanger on Monday.
‘It is important to find small pockets of time where parents can be lovers.’
American conservative organisation National Marriage Project has been promoting the idea of parent date nights without kids, which they suggest parents should take every week. The organisation is part funded by evangelical Christian John Templeton Junior, the son and heir of billionaire investor John Templeton’s empire.
