Important Advisory: Magnitude 7.2 Earthquake hits Bohol
An earthquake with a 7.2 magnitude occurred near Tagbilaran, Bohol on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
In a report released by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council , the earthquake was felt in different parts of Visayas and Mindanao:
Intensity III- Davao City.
Intensity IV- Masbate City; Roxas City; San Jose, Culasi, Antique; Guihulngan, Negros Occidental
Intensity V- Iloilo City; La Carlota, Negros Occidental
Intensity VI- Hinigaran, Negros Occidental
Intensity VII- Tagbilaran, Bohol
As of 12 noon, death toll has raised to 20.
Damages in buildings and roads are reported in Bohol and Cebu, while power is out in different affected areas.
Cebu Pacific flights to and from Cebu and Tagbilaran have been suspended in the mean time.
Around 110 aftershocks have been felt since the quake hits Bohol past 8am, according to the Philippine Red Cross. The aftershocks had an average of magnitude two.
