Many of us have seen the foreign assistance that continues to arrive in the country in news channels and online. As far as the government is concerned, however, the public has been critical of their response in the wake of super typhoon Yolanda’s fury.
The government has since taken on an active and energetic role in the relief, rescue and rehabilitation operations in the Visayas region. To supply the need for information on what the government is doing to aid in relief, the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) has provided a report on the activities of the different agencies since 8 November.
