Coco-and-Julia1After the success of ‘Muling Buksan Ang Puso‘ that concluded last October, Julia Montes is set to come back to primetime TV with ‘Ikaw Lamang.’

Julia will be playing a poor girl working in a hacienda. Joining her in the drama that is set in the ‘60s are Jake Cuenca, Kim Chiu and her former leading man Coco Martin.

Julia and Coco’s last TV show together was ‘Walang Hanggan‘ in 2012. Since then, both went on to star in their own teleseryes, Coco with ‘Juan de la Cruz‘ and Julia with ‘Muling Buksan Ang Puso.’

But despite having their own projects, Julia said she and Coco maintained their communication.

The 32-year-old actor was vocal of his romantic feelings for his former leading lady during their ‘Walang Hanggan‘ days. The success of their team up spurred the film ’A Moment In Time’ in 2013.

Julia added that Coco remained supportive of her and continued giving her acting advice despite their busy schedules.

‘…hindi naman siya yung tipong porke’t nakatrabaho ko lang siya before, ngayon, wala na,’ Julia said in an interview.’Meron pa rin siyang advice. Kung ano siya noon, ganun pa rin naman siya ngayon.

Aside from Ikaw Lamang, Julia and Coco worked together in the independent film ‘Padre de Familia‘ co-starring Nora Aunor. The film, directed by Adolf Alix Junior, is yet to be released.

Coco said in an interview that it was him who convinced Julia to dabble into non-mainstream projects. He added that he wanted Julia to improve as an actress by starring in an independent film.
