by FFE Entertainment News Staff

It has been almost two decades since their last project together, but Aga Muhlach and Lea Salonga’s friendship and chemistry remain strong to this day.

In Monday’s episode of Aga’s game show ‘Let’s Ask Pilipinas’ in TV5, Lea showed her support to her former love team by appearing as one of the contestants. Lea earlier tweeted that ‘the SMM fans will hopefully be pleased.’ SMM stands for their last movie together ‘Sana Maulit Muli’ back in 1995.

Fans of the Lea-Aga love team were definitely delighted with the chemistry the 90’s onscreen couple showed: both threw banters during the show and playfully called each other ‘babes.’

But fans who were not contented with Lea’s 1-episode appearance in Aga’s show will have something special to look forward to.

aga-leaThe 44-year-old actor happily announced during Lea’s ‘Playlist’ concert last December that a story for their much-awaited movie is already in the works. This received cheers from the audience. The two previously stated that before agreeing to star in a reunion movie they should first be in shape and a good script is a must.

Aga came on stage to present the 42-year-old actress-singer a bouquet of flowers during the concert’s encore portion. He attended the concert with wife Charlene Gonzales to show his support for Lea who was also celebrating her 35th year in showbiz.

Aga and Lea first worked together in the 1992 movie ‘Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal’ and were romantically linked during the ‘90s. Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal and Sana Maulit Muli were both box office hits.
