Local Stars Send Out Prayers to Earthquake Victims

Following the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that shook Bohol and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, local stars have sent out their prayers to the victims of the disaster.
“Praying for everyone’s safety after the earth quake that hit Bohol and Cebu quite saddening to see beautiful churches crumble down,” tweeted Anne Curtis a few hours after the earthquake hit at past 8am last Tuesday. Century-old churches in Bohol and Cebu are reported to have been destroyed in the aftermath of the earthquake.
Sharon Cuneta, who is in the US when the quake occurred, also reaches out to the victims. “Sending all of you love, hugs, and prayers from America. You are in my heart. Will be thinking of and praying of you,” the Megastar tweeted.

Angel Locsin, not only made a call to action to citizens, but also to government officials. “If only corrupt public officials would share even just 1/8 of their wealth to our kababayan who have suffered from disaster, poverty, & war.. Millions of Filipinos won’t suffer anymore.. #HelpCebuandBohol,” Angel tweeted.

Angelica Panganiban, who was in Bohol for a taping of a show, had a personal experience of the earthquake and shared it in her instagram.
“Pray for Bohol… Pray for our safety… Hindi na matatanggal sa isip naming ang nangyari ngayong umaga… Sana tumigil na ang mga after shocks… Ngayong alam ko na ang pakiramdam kapag akala mo magpapaalam ka na sa mundo.. Pero safe naman na daw kami.. Sana tuloy tuloy na. God Bless Philippines..,” Angelica posted Tuesday morning.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Coordinating Council (NDRRMC), the death toll in the Bohol earthquake is now at 99 as of Wednesday morning.
