Luis Manzano’s game show bids Goodbye
After over a year of successful run, the game show ‘Minute To Win It’ hosted by Luis Manzano will be saying goodbye to the airwaves.
Luis announced the show’s departure on his Twitter account yesterday and thanked his fans for supporting the show.
‘Today is the last taping day of #Minute2winitPH ! wow, more than a year and the most successful franchise of the show!
thank you guys!’ Luis said.
The show’s sudden exit on air baffled fans as the pre-noontime show had consistent high ratings.
‘Sad that the show will soon end. We really enjoy watching #Minute2WinItPH everyday,’ said username Vhonne Bon.
‘Bakit LAST TAPING DAY na ng #MinuteToWinItPH Kuya Luis? Mataas naman ang ratings ah. Consistent WINNER nga eh,’ asked K.R. Bautista.
The 32-year-old actor-host explained that the management only wanted to give the show a time to rest and promised it will be back on fans’ television screens soon.
As the show makes it exit, it will definitely go out with a bang as the last contestant to be playing will be Luis’ ex-girlfriend Angel Locsin.
Last month, Angel surprised everyone after admitting that she still has feelings for Luis and added that she hopes to rekindle their relationship.
Minute To Win It is based on the original American series where contestants need to accomplish seemingly simple task within 60 seconds. A grand prize of Php1 million is given to anyone who accomplishes all 10 challenges.
Minute To Win It is not the only game show Luis has hosted. Back in 2010, he co-hosted ‘Panahon Ko ‘To! Ang Game Show ng Buhay Ko’ with Billy Crawford and has been the new host of ‘Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal’ after it returned to air in 2012. It was previously hosted by the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.
