Manny and Jinkee Pacquiao deny the reports that they were bankrupt.
In news reported in the Cebu- based newspaper Sun Star, boxing promoter Rex “Wakee” Salud was quoted that Manny could not retire from boxing because he is running out of money.
Manny rebuffs the statement by saying he does not even talk to Salud.
Salud said the statement did not come from him.
“I don’t remember saying that Manny had run out of money… I really don’t,” Salud said.
Manny’s wife Jinkee also denied parts of the report that said they are selling their house in Los Angeles because of money problems.
The Pacquiao’s L.A. Mansion
“Our neighbors in L.A. complain because when we’re there, there are lots of people and it’s noisy,” Jinkee explained asthe real reason they are putting their house on the market.
Manny said he is now looking for a house in Beverly Hills to move to once their L.A. mansion is sold.
Despite the issue, Manny said he is not affected by it.
“I’m not distracted by that. Just don’t hurt me and my family,” Manny said.
The writer of the article said he will consult Sun Star first before releasing any statement.
