After almost a year since his last fight with Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquiao said the year off had been good for him.
In a recent tweet, the Pambansang Kamao also expressed his excitement over his upcoming fight with American boxer Brandon Rios:
The 34-year-old Pacquiao is set to go back to the ring on 23 November to fight 27-year-old Rios at the Venetian Cotai Arena in The Venetian Macau resort & hotel. This is the first time that Pacquiao will be fighting in Macau.
When it comes to knocking out Rios, Pacquiao said he is not looking for it. He added that he will not be careless in setting himself up for another knock out akin to his fight with Marquez last December.
“I will not rush in looking to knock Rios out, but rest assured if the opportunity presents itself I will go for it!” Pacquiao said in an official statement in his website.
Pacquiao added the advantage of his age and experience compared to the younger Rios.
“With age comes maturity and with maturity comes patience,” said Pacquiao.
