More Brits choosing smartphones for Photos
According to a survey of 2,000 people by OnePoll for Samsung Electronics, 17% of men admit to taking selfies while only 10% of women admit to doing the same.
This is just a slice of the pie though, as more Brits buy smartphones because of reasons other than making calls or sending text messages.
Photo taking is one of the top factors Brits are considering when choosing which phone to buy.
Over half of Brits also admit to uploading their photos immediately onto social media pages, with more women (57%) doing this than men (45%). Thirty-two percent said they wish they had a better phone camera to capture moments while on holiday, 25% at a gig, 24% at a wedding and 15% at a sporting event. As to phone camera features, 55% said that zoom lens was important. Extensive camera modes were also important to help take the perfect photo.
While most smartphone users will not have second thoughts taking photos with their gadgets, a third of the people surveyed admit that they are missing great live moments while taking that perfect shot.
