Napoles’ VIP days at hospital ends
Pork barrel queen Janet Lim-Napoles can no longer enjoy the comfort of staying at Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) after the Makati Regional Trial Court ordered the hospital to discharge her on Wednesday. By Thursday night, Napoles is back in her detention bungalow in Fort Santo Domingo in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Napoles, in a bullet-proof vest and hoodie, was wheeled out of OsMak around 9:35pm Thursday and boarded a white van. Less than an hour later, at 10:20pm, the businesswoman arrived at the Special Action Forces (SAF) police camp in Laguna.
Her family and lawyers were not present during her transfer and she was only escorted by two female security personnel and Calabarzon police deputy regional director for operations Senior Superintendent Ronald Santos.
Napoles’ lawyers have consistently pled with the court for an extension of her stay in OsMak because of bleeding after her complete hysterectomy on 23 April. However, OsMak ob-gyn Dr Florentina Villanueva said Napoles refused to show proof of her bleeding in several occasions after the operation.
Napoles discharge papers were signed by her private doctors St Luke’s ob-gyn Dr Elsie Badillo-Pascua and gynecological oncologist Dr Efren Domingo.
