Netherlands improves business Climate

The Netherlands climbed 2 spots to snag the 28th place in World Bank’s (WB) ‘Doing Business’ report for 2014.
According to the report, the country has taken steps to make it easier for entrepreneurs to own a business. The improvement was brought about by the abolition of the minimum capital requirement for starting a limited company.
The improved business climate was also the result of increased transparency and less bureaucracy in property transactions.
The country, however, fell a few places in terms of its secured transactions system because tax claims have been prioritised over secured creditors’ claims.
