No sweat when flying from Madrid’s Barajas airport

Global flight tracker FlightStats has just released a report on the world’s most punctual airports, and the Barajas airport in Madrid, Spain landed a slot in the top ten.
According to FlightStats, 86.94% of all flights in Barajas airport left within 15 minutes of their departure time. This figure made the airport rank 9th in FlightStats’ list. Apart from Madrid, Munich represented the EU in the list, ranking third with 89.26%. Barcelona’s El Prat meanwhile landed 13th place.
The top two airports on the list are Tokyo’s Haneda and Minneapolis with a rating of over 90%.
Spanish Iberia Airlines meanwhile was ranked 6th most punctual airline with 90.47% of flights arriving within 15 minutes of their arrival time. Finnair was first with 93.29% while Easyjet came second at 92.76%. Iberia Express meanwhile landed 5th in the European carriers-only list with 95.36% of flights arriving on time.
