Other side of Anne Curtis’ Story
by FFE Entertainment News staff
The story of Anne Curtis running amok in a club, slapping John Lloyd Cruz, calling him an addict and insulting TV host Phoemela Barranda last 23 November has been the talk of showbiz world the past days but the supposed real reason why Anne flipped out only surfaced today.
The original story goes like this: Anne Curtis was at an exclusive club in Taguig City in the early morning of 23 November and was throwing a bachelorette party for a friend. One side of the club’s VIP section was closed off for the said party. On the other side of the VIP section the group John Lloyd Cruz, Jake Cuenca, Phoemela Barranda and other non-showbiz friends.
A member of the group, magazine editor JR Isaac, said that he was waiting for a drink with a friend when they heard a voice coming from the restroom saying, ‘Who’s banging on my door?’ When they turned around, an angry Anne came out the restroom and charged at them, slapping JR, his friend and John Lloyd. She then went to call John Lloyd an ‘addict’ and told Phoemela ‘I can buy you, your friends, and this club!’ The two parties were separated by the club’s management after.
Anne admitted on her twitter last Sunday that most of the account is true. She said she already apologized to all parties involved and also said sorry to the fans she has let down. The ‘It’s Showtime’ host said she will not talk about the incident again.
Two days after the story was released, a new report came out saying that it was Jake and John Lloyd who banged on the restroom door that Anne was in as a prank. Anne, drunk at the time, emerged from the restroom, saw JR and his friend, concluding it was them who banged on the door, went to slap them. John Lloyd came up to Anne to tell her it was him and Jake who did the banging when he was also slapped by Anne.
“When I was told of my behavior AND the person who started all of this, due to this person’s inappropriate behavior, apologized to me too… Just as I did. Which I accepted too. I choose not to go into detail because I’m not the type to ruin someone else’s name,” Anne has said, as part of her apology on twitter.
Jake said that he is a little too old to be pulling pranks on people and denied the allegations.
Jake said he did not witness the incident and was busy minding his own business.
“I was hanging out with different people. Di dahil artista kami ibig sabihin lagi kami magkasama we all have our own business,” Jake said.
