PH taps social media to aid quake-torn Visayas

#PrayforVisayas, #bohol and #ReliefPH are just some of the trending topics in Twitter Philippines days after the 7.2-magnitude earthquake rocked Bohol and Cebu. Celebrities, government agencies and average Filipinos have so far been sending their thoughts and donations to the quake victims.

While some towns in Bohol are still inaccessible to rescuers, the government has set up evacuation centres and private organisations are already calling for and conducting relief drives.
In line with this, various civic groups and charity organisations have outlined ways you can help quake victims no matter where you are in the world.
Philippine Red Cross has set up an online donation drive through PayPal, Cash, Check, Bank Deposit.
Philippine Airlines is accepting donations through its Humanitarian Cargo Grant program that will airlift goods for free to Tagbilaran City in Bohol and Cebu. Donors can contact PAL through 851-2980 or 855-8000 local 2653.
Drop-off points for in-kind donations have also been set up throughout the country. The following local groups are conducting relief drives for quake victims:
