Sarah Geronimo’s unending blessings

Sarah Geronimo has proven to be an unstoppable force last year as she captured not only the music but the movie industry as well.
The Popstar Princess celebrated her 10th year in the industry with three successful concerts entitled Perfect 10, filling the concert venues Smart Araneta Coliseum, MOA Arena, and the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu.
It was also in 2013 that the 25-year-old singer released her 10th album entitled Expressions where she debuted as a songwriter with the single Make Me Yours.
Sarah’s undeniable talent was also recognized internationally as she was nominated for the Best Southeast Asia Act in the 2013 MTV European Music Awards and bagged a whopping five nominations for the World Music Awards (WMA).
Sarah is nominated for WMA’s Best Female Artist, where she competes against Adele, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, Best Entertainer of the Year with Beyonce, Celine Dion and Britney Spears, and Best Live Act alongside Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and Taylor Swift. Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez is also nominated in the said categories.
Sarah’s song Ikot-Ikot is also recognized and is up for the Best Video and Best Song.
Finishing off 2013, Sarah and John Lloyd Cruz’s It Takes A Man and A Woman, the third installment to A Very Special Love, is last year’s highest grossing movie in the country that was however not an entry to the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival. The movie gained P375 million in the domestic box office.
Sarah’s success will not slow down any time soon as she recently renewed her contract with television network ABS-CBN where she will return as a mentor in the second installment of The Voice of the Philippines. She will also reprise her role as Laida Magtalas in the anticipated fourth installment of A Very Special Love.
