Despite her flourishing acting career, KC Concepcion said that she still has a lot more to learn from the showbiz industry and plans to go back to school this 2014.
The 28-year-old actress made the announcement in her twitter account when she shot down rumors that she will be playing the 2014 television adaptation of Dyesebel, a famous mermaid character created by Mars Ravelo.
KC said she will not be playing the iconic role, previously portrayed by Vilma Santos, Alma Moreno, and Alice Dixson in movies, because she will be abroad to study short courses for professional development in the early part of the year.
The ‘Boy Golden’ actress said that her decision to return to school came when she was suffering from pneumonia and had to spend the New Year in a hospital.
“After doing a teleserye & a movie last year, together with my new endorsements, I realized there’s SO MUCH more I can still learn about this industry. After getting pneumonia, I decided to take the jump & do something new for myself,” KC tweeted.
KC assured her fans however that she is not planning to leave showbiz and that she is still a Kapamilya.
This is not the first time KC will be studying overseas. Before entering show business, KC attended the American University of Paris where she got her degree in International Corporate Communications with a minor in Theatre Arts last 2007.
