Spaniards find unusual way to vent their Anger

How do you make sure your sentiments are read by the most number of people? Write it somewhere that won’t be burned or ripped anytime soon — and some Spaniards have found just the right item to use.

 

Pictures of nine banknotes with graffiti expressing the writers’ dissatisfaction for Spain’s politicians and bankers are circulating online. This quiet act of rebellion may be a novel idea, but the angry bills have generated retweets and picked up the media spotlight.

 

 

 

One €10 bill reads ‘This note has been laundered. Please don’t circulate’, referring to the corruption cases that are currently being tried in Spanish courts.
