These airports are flying high
The top airport saw 95 million passengers walk through its gates and corridors in 2012.
Airports Council International’s 2012 World Annual Traffic Report once again revealed that Georgia, USA’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the busiest in the world, with a 3.4% increase in the number of passengers over the previous year.
China’s Beijing Capital International Airport got second place with 82 million passengers last year, an increase of 4.1% from 2011. Heathrow Airport in London, UK got third place with 70 million passengers, an increase of 0.9%.
Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport meanwhile got 45th place, ahead of Philadelphia, Mumbai and Mexico City’s airports.
