Tropical storm Quedan (international name Fitow) makes slow progress as it moves through the Philippine sea.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) last spotted Quedan 700km east of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 105kph near the center and gusts of up to 35kph. It is forecast to move at the speed of 11kph north northwest.
Pagasa said that Western Visayas, Cagayan, Zambales, Bataan and northern Palawan will experience light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.
Light to moderate wind coming from the northwest will be felt in areas of Luzon and the western portions of the country.
