Typhoon ‘Vinta’ enters PH territory
A new typhoon is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this morning and will be named Vinta, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

As of 4 AM on Tuesday, Vinta was located at 1,150 km East of Virac, Catanduanes with maximum winds of 45kph near the center. PAGASA said Vinta is still far away from land to directly affect any part of the country.
Vinta is moving West Northwest at 24 kph and is expected to be at 600 km East Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes by Wednesday morning. By Thursday morning, Vinta will be located at 300 km East of Baler, Aurora and at 180 km West of Baguio City by Friday morning.
PAGASA warned the public that moderate to occasionally heavy rains are expected within the 300 km diameter of the typhoon.
Vinta is the 22nd tropical cyclone to enter the Philippines this year.
