Vienna's zoo lines up autumn fest

The Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna, Austria has got something colourful under its sleeve for autumn goers.
Pumpkins, pears and apples will be the star of the zoo this October and November, as the fruits will be featured in daily and exhibitions and activities.
A pumpkin exhibition called ‘Old fruits and pumpkin types’ will feature the diverse faces of the beloved orange fruit, from Hokkaido to butter nuts and rarer varieties. Pre-Halloween pumpkin cutting will last until this weekend, while other arts and crafts activities for kids will be done on weekends until November 3.
Organic farmer Karl Zwickl will also be selling apple, pear and other fresh fruit products like marmalade, jams and bread. The fruit stands will be available on weekends and public holidays until November 3.
Zoo director Dagmar Schratter said ‘From the kids craft zone to the fruit and pumpkin exhibition, there is something for the whole family to enjoy.’
