A few hours before her concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, singer Alicia Keys paid a visit yesterday to the victims of typhoon Yolanda evacuated at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay.
The 32-year-old artist personally distributed coloring books and crayons to the children refugees at the airbase’s grandstand. She also chatted with the evacuees for 30 minutes, according to Social Welfare and Development Officer Jane Abello.
“I’m so grateful I was able to come to the Philippines and spend some time with some of the most resilient, beautiful spirits I’ve ever met,” Keys said in a tweet.
