What not to do during Barangay Election Period

With the Barangay Elections drawing near, the Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office (PCDSPO) has released a list of important reminders for voters and candidates alike for a peaceful and lawful election.
During the election period, 28 September- 12 November, candidates are not allowed to raise funds through lotteries, dances, and cockfights and to construct or conduct maintenance of provincial city, municipal or barangay-funded, roads and bridges.
The candidates are also prohibited to carry guns and firearms as well as the use of security personnel or bodyguards.
Campaigns are not allowed on 27 October, 24 hours before election day, and during the election day itself. Liquor ban and prohibition for voters in accepting free drinks, food, and transportation is also in effect during these days.
Vote buying and voting more than once or in substitution for another are also against the law.
Soliciting votes or giving out propaganda for or against any candidate and opening of booths or stalls to sell wares, merchandise, or refreshments within 30 meters from a polling place are also banned during election day, 28 October.
