What’s Next for Nora Aunor?

nora-aunorShe is celebrating her 47th year in show business this year but Nora Aunor has no sign of stopping anytime soon as she is already slated to appear in three movies.


The Superstar will be in two movies for TV on TV 5, one of them will be a much-awaited reunion with her love team in the ‘70s, Tirso Cruz III.


In the movie, titled When I Fall in Love, Nora, plays Tirso’s wife, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.  Directed by the award-winning director Joel Lamangan, When I Fall in Love is expected to be released in February.


In her other TV movie, the 60-year-old actress will be acting alongside a younger-generation actor, the budding actress and Anne Curtis’ sister, Jasmine Curtis-Smith. Dementia is a psychological drama thriller, in which Nora will play the emotionally disturbed Mara.


Following her highly-acclaimed role in the film ‘Ang Kwento ni Mabuti’, Nora Aunor will be in another independent film titled “Padre de Familia” where she will play Coco Martin’s mother.


After Nora’s slowly- but- surely comeback in show business that started in 2011, reports have been circulating that the award-winning actress has been included in the list of nominees that will be considered for this year’s National Artist Awards in the Film and Broadcast Arts Category.

    Nora Aunor will be National Artist, along with Cirilo Bautista for Literature, Francisco Coching for Visual Arts, Alice Reyes for Dance, Francisco Feliciano for Music, and Jose Ma. Zaragoza for Architecture.

    No other film actor can duplicate nora’s achievements definitely she’s the most deserving for the national artist recognition,long overdue na nga ito.

    She deserves this title and it should be given to her the soonest possible time.

    No one cannot deny her major contribution to the upligtment of films, music and television in our country.

    She gave honors to her countrymen by winning acting awards and citations for her films that put the map of the Philippines among the very best in the world.

    President AQuino should be proud of her achievements because the success of Nora happened in his tenure (thereby giving a boost to the image of our country as it fails to stop corruption in our country)

    we can make a long list of Nora Aunor “negatives”, but denying her the National Artist award that she truly deserves is a crime at its worst!

    She must receive it. No one else become closer than herself alone..so much deserving…the “quintessential validation of a world-class talent, The Superstar in every sense of the word.It’s about time that she be honored while she’s the reason that Indie Films much more alive and setting a trending nowadays. Hope and pray that President Aquino will insert this conferment on his priorities before end of this month. Mabuhay ka LA AUNOR, our next National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts!!!
