Farmer Yvan Delage of Condéon, France is calling all those who have the heart to adopt his one-of-a-kind sheep. His classified ad on Le Boncoin (the French equivalent of Craigslist) says it all: ‘For sale: Atypical sheep with five legs.’
Additionally, Delage’s ad reads ‘The fifth leg is an atrophy. It doesn’t serve any purpose, but it’s not a handicap in any way. Nine-month-old female.’
Although the farmer sells 150 sheep annually for the abattoir, this wonder sheep seemed to have won his heart. ‘I have no desire to have her killed’, he said.
His wish is for the sheep to be ‘saved from the abattoir’, and to have her spend her days ‘in a park somewhere, or in a school.’
Those who want to adopt the wonder sheep will have to shell out at least €200. However, Delage’s price is negotiable to whoever wants to put a roof over the wooly wonder.
