Pink eye make-up: tips to create this summer Trend
Pink is usually avoided when it comes to eye make-up. Applied incorrectly and it can give people the wrong impression about the health of your eyes — think conjunctivitis.
But make-up artist Arabella Preston explained ‘A pop of soft pink or peach on the eyelids sets off a bronzed face beautifully, giving it a fresh finish.’ This is why many make-up brands are unfazed by the shade and have included pink in their summer collections.
Here are some of the best pink eye make-up brands you can use this season:
This peachy make-up can be applied onto the eyelid to create a soft, subtle look. For the best effect, blend outward with a finger and apply black liquid eyeliner on the top lashes’ base line.
MAC and Chanel’s pink eye make-ups have dusty, more delicate tones that can be worn every day. For a wash of pink around the eyes simply sweep a little of the make-up over the eyelids.
Use Dior Addict pink mascara or liquid liner for more defined pink pops around the eye. Pair these with simple make-up to avoid looking overly done.
Pink make-up is also helpful to brighten dark under-eye area, suggested make-up artist Andrew Gallimore. Blending SkinFlash with a concealer can combat dark circles.
