Trento Religion Today Film Festival Features Filipino Film
The Philippine Consulate General in Milan reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) that a total of 57 films from different countries participated in the annual Trento Religion Today Film Festival by the Association Bianconero from October 11 to 20 in Trento, Italy, 270 kilometers northeast of Milan.
The Philippine movie entry, “Flight of An Angel”, screened at the Teatro San Marco, was directed by Clodualdo del Mundo Jr. It portrayed the story of a young accountant (Sid Lucero) who does acts of good work to people around him. He at one time became an angel, with feather wings growing on his back, after helping out an old and poor lady, but opted to be just a regular guy on earth in the end.
Philippine Consulate representatives attended the festival and had the opportunity to meet some members of the Filipino Community of Trento. About 350 Filipinos reside in Trento located in the Trentino-Alto Adige region.
The festival was established in 1997. It is dedicated to promote cultural and spiritual development through religious films.
